Menarche Ceremony
Did you have a menarche (first period) ceremony? What was it like? Who was there? What gifts did you get? If you have a daughter, will you (or did you) give her a menarche ceremony?

I didn't have a ceremony. I wish I did. I actually asked my mom if we were going to do anything special that day. She didn't even think I would want to celebrate it. I did want to though. So instead she bought me McDonalds that night. It was my favorite at the time and we didn't have a lot of money so McDonalds was special to have at the time. When my daughter gets hers we will do what she is comfortable with and I will be sure to know in advance if she wants to celebrate or not.
