Pregnant ... Possible or Not?

My Last Menstrual Period began on July 15th and ended on July 25th and my Most Fertile time was July 31st and Aug 1st with Aug. 1st being the actual Ovulation Day. My husband and I was intimate quite a bit everyday from July 26th until August 15th. During the entire time him and I was intimate, I noticed faint brownish spotting from time to time but nothing regular. Then around my MF and Ova Days I had the usual and obvious telltale signs of Ovulation taking place with the clear to milky discharge, so we were even more intimate during that time. Yet on Aug. 8th I experienced sharp cramping and had even more of the brownish spotting showing up, yet that all went away after several hours. Then on Aug 13th the spotting came back and was heavier then before but not heavy enough to consider it being my period, since that wasn't supposed to show up until Aug. 15th. But this hasn't gone away yet and it is now 5 days later, but the heaviest of the spotting has lessened to just light spotting.

I am almost certain that this isn't my normal period, for they are always very heavy and lasting 8 days at the least and 11 days at the most. Up until now, my periods have been very regular and so has my Most Fertile and Ovulation Days. This is the first time that I have had faint spotting to heavy spotting every day since my LMP. My husband and I were TTC and the way my body has acted from July 26th till now has been strange to me.

I already have one child but that was 8 years ago and I don't remember much about the first month I was pregnant with him as I was unaware of it until the missed period.

I know that no one can say for sure without a test being done and all, but I was curious in if anyone else has experienced this before and while TTC and what their own personal results were ... pregnant or not. I also want to take a HPT but I am not sure if it would be too early to take one now or if I should wait a couple more weeks then take the HPT.
