confused first time ttc

Help me please I dont know if this is work stress or Prego. I have been ttc for about 6 months never been pregnant before so I really dont know what I should be feeling. We have been trying everyday since last period ended, period is 2 days late so far. I took HPT today it was negative. I am sleepy, my sense of smell is epic right now, nauseous, headaches, I am crampy but not bad like normal period cramps. I dont know what to think or do should I wait or see if I need something from my ob to jump start my period. I dont want my cycle to become irregular.
