Water Balloon fight!..Not for long! >_<
I was at my aunts house, three days after my birthday so I had been asking to have a water balloon fight for a good while now. It was of course the summertime and we finally had one. We had thrown balloons back and forth for hours until they were gone, after having no more balloons we just used buckets to throw water at each other. We were done and we were just cleaning up until I decided to sit down on the bucket. Hey Aunt Flo! I got up and yup, there it is a big red puddle on the back of the white bucket. My little cousin not knowing anything yells out "BLOOD!". I quickly turned over the bucket and washed it off as fast as possible. My voice was shaky, what a way to make it obvious! My brother's girlfriend came up to me and whispered "there are pads in my car, now go shower up". I'm still embarrassed up to this day.

French Drains!!!
I worked at a Yard that was basically full of mechanics and i worked with one other girl. (She had been there longer than me) our offices were those metal containers and we had to walk aways to a house to use the bathroom. Anyways id been there a few months and had been merrily carrying on with My tampons and flushing them and everything was fine. one day the toilet starts backing up, and id just flushed a tampon down it. I waas mortified that it was going to resurface and even greet somebody in the corridoor! i ran to the office and told the other girl and she just looked at me and said "you haven't been flushing your tampons have you? its a french drain" well thanks very %~+*@#/ much for the warning!!!!! the 'drain unblocking' people had to be called and they were there for ages putting their rods down the outside pipes and brining up the gunk, again i was mortified. after they had finished and reprimanded me on flushing tampons, i went back to the office with the invoice. My ex (family company his sister was the girl i worked with) happened to be sitting in the chair opposite her desk chatting to her. she had a huge grin on her face and said "all sorted?" and he just smurked. I wanted to burst into tears and bury myself, what ever happened to females sticking together and looking out for one another???? anyways i dont work there anymore lol!!!!

The Guys at Work Just Don't Understand. :(
I work in a tire and oil express shop. Since the work we do is quick, we have a high turnover of vehicles in the shop. I also work mainly with men, with the exception of one female technician. My job is to greet customers, take their orders and get their vehicle information and communicate it to the techs. They often go shopping at the adjoining supermarket while waiting for their vehicles to be done.
My period is so heavy that I am afraid to sit down at all for fear of having an accident. My co-workers do not understand and I have, in the past, been subject to constant redicule. They get mad at me because they want me to drive the vehicles in to the shop after I get the VIN and other information that I need to get. When I try to explain to them, the guys get upset and weirded out and the lady tech rolls her eyes (obviously, her Aunt Flo is not as mean as mine). I am terrified of the thought of sitting in someone else's car and having an accident. How embarrasing would that be?
I have had accidents that have seeped through three heavy duty pads, underwear, a pair of bike shorts AND my work pants.
I have tried EVERY "so called" heavy duty pad on the market and using a tampons are worthless to me. In fact, there was only one maxi-pad that ever worked for me... and they got discontinued. (I have called the company a few times to complain).
Those of you that have been there, I feel for you. Not much we can do about it, but know that you're not alone.

Niagra flows at work
As a woman with a very heavy flow I have always made sure that my bases were covered during my cycle. Tampon and pad, every time. I had never had an accident until I was 21. I was standing at work talking to my manager and felt the first cramp. Next thing I know, she was staring at the front of my pants. I looked down to see what she was looking at and to my horror there was a HUGE bright red splotch growing rapidly across them. I was so embarassed! I had no idea how this happened. I was wearing a tampon and an overnite pad. To make it worse, I lived over an hour away from the office so there was no way to go home and change :-( I wrapped my coat around my waist and went shopping. First I raided the feminine aisle at CVS then I went to the nearest clothing store for a new pair of pants and some clean underwear. One more stop at McD's to clean up and change then back to work. I have worn at least 2 pads ever since then. I also quit wearing tampons and noticed that the flow lightened up some. If you are a girl with a heavy flow, I recommend wearing 2 pads and stay away from tampons. Also, keep an extra pair of pants in your car ;-)

Bloody Birthday!
I was in year 7 (11 years old)and my BF was throwing a party for his 12th birthday. I was so excited so I wore stone washed cut off jeans, a white blouse and cute little black pump. Everyone was saying how nice I looked! Anyway we were sitting in the cinema and all of a sudden I felt strange so I took a trip to the bathroom and yes indeed, I had started my period. To make matters worse I had no protection and blood staining my jeans. Mortified I tip toed back to the film and told my BF that I needed to go home because I really didn't feel well! HE understood so i though i should tell his mum, she understood aswell but just as my mum pulled up she called out to her 'Is everything okay?' and before i could say anything my mum called out (In the middle of a bussling town "Yea she's fine, She's just started her period!" well, I could of died right then! Mortifided isn't the word and to make matters worse I have just started work in an infant school when his mum came in, looked at me and just smiled! I thought 8 years would be enough time for her to forget!

Never assume when TTC!
Hubby and I were TTC #1 and I was late. We were so excited! At the time I was also on the praise team @ church. We had only told our very closest friends we were TTC and one of them was singing with me. We had just left the platform and were standing in the front row when ping! It was running down my legs and had dripped onto the carpet! I leaned over to ask if she had any protection but as fate wld have it she didn't have anything at all. I all but ran for the ladies to clean up the best I could then made a quick run to the store. Thank God it was near the church!
