Anyone in my TTC phase?

Hi Ladies,

So I need to vent... a couple of weeks ago I had to have some blood work done to make sure I am not a carrier of certain genes from my background. I thought for sure I would be fine, but yesterday I got the news that I tested positive as a carrier for 1 of the genes. The one I tested positive for is actually a very common.

My Dr. told us to not try this cycle and to have my husband tested as well. If he has a positive reading we are then sent on to a genetic counselor. I am hoping his is negative , but will have to wait and see. He goes next week for his testing and we should have the results in 2 weeks. So now not only do we have to wait to try , but to also find out the results.

I am upset know that I shouldn't be so down , but I was excited to begin trying this time around. I just hope that he is not a carrier and we can go on and TTC. Wish us luck:)

Well, tonight my husband and I went to pick up his prescription for clomid! WOW $113.00 for a 60 day supply....too bad insurance won't cover this. I guess this is a small price to pay if it gets us just one step closer to a little one :)
My husband was diagnosed with a hormone imbalance with testosterone level in the 170's...(confirmed in 3 different bloodtests). So only option is Clomid and repair of a Varicocele (incidental finding by urologist-surgery scheduled for April 4th. Fingers crossed that this will increase my husband's testosterone which will hopefully in turn increase sperm count....this is our last resort before IVF w/ICSI! Has anyone out there been in the same circumstance? Any positive stories from Clomid for men?

Has this happened to any of you before? When you think you finally know your cycle and it changes on you. Here is what happened... I have around a 26 or 27 day cycle

So this month my cycle seems to be a bit strange. Normally my OPK test is positive on day 10 of my cycle (which was this past Tuesday) I tested yesterday Day 11 no LH Surge and tested again this morning Day 12, but still no LH Surge. I guess I should just keep testing until I get a positive reading. I am just frustrated!!!!

This is my 1st month using CBEFM and today is CD 16. It has showed high fertility since CD 9. I had EWCM on CD12 and 13. My cycle is usually very regular and when I had used OPK in Nov. and Dec. I had + on CD14. I wondering if the monitor missed my LH surge but wondering how long it will be continue to read high fertility for. I didn't want to take the chance of missing TTC this month so we had sex on CD9, 12, 14, 15. Hoping I am not having hormonal issues. But if I had normal changes in my CM and I have noticed a rise in BBT, (although my waking time has differed), hoping all is ok.

So I am due for AF Feb 26th which means today marks the beginning of my TWW. The maybe is because my ClearBlue Fertility Monitor only displayed Highs and no peaks. I guess only time will tell if I OVed and it just didn't detect my surge. Anyone else share my uncertainty? Baby dust to you all!

Hi everyone,

I have been using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor this month for the first time. I am on CD16. I usually have a regular 30Day Cycle. I have been testing since CD6 as required by the monitor. On CD10 I got a high reading and since then have only had high readings. If my luteal phase was the standard 14-day I should have seen a peak reading today but I double-checked with an OPK and it was negative. Any advice for me? When should I keep testing until?
