TTC After Birth Control
Did you recently -- or some time ago -- come off birth control to TTC? What birth control were you using? Have your periods/cycles returned to your normal? Are you waiting a few months, or trying right away?

TTC After Birth Control
Is it hopeless?
On depo for 10yrs. Last shot 11/2009 Cycles have returned to normal after waiting 1yr. (11/2010) Typical cycle is 28 days, i've been tracking cm and cervix position regularly and everything seems on track month to month. Has anyone else had a similar experiance? I'm starting to worry ttc is hopeless. Any advise would be very much appreciated! I really wish they (dr's) would have told me ttc after depo is a nightmare!!

TTC After Birth Control
Really stressing out!
Hi everyone
This is my first post on this site.. it's reassuring reading other people's comments but nevertheless I'm quite stressed out.
I'm 26 now - I was on the pill for about 1yr 8months after I got married. Prior to that I used to have a period roughly every 35 days so regular in my own way. I also used to have sore boobs, feel a bit down and get a bit spot on my chin the week before my period was due!
I came off the pill in June last year as I knew it would take some time to get back to normal and that I should have a few cycles before we start TTC. I had period exactly 28 days (17th July) after I stopped the pill and then the next one came about 35 days later (21st Aug at which point I thought boy that was quick, I've gotten back to normal already). Then I didn't have one until 4th October (44 days later). After that I had no real periods, spotting on 16th Nov then again on 23rd Nov for a week. Then spotting on 11th Dec for a week and 17th Jan for a week. In the meantime I had been using OPKs which always told me I wasn't ovulating. So I saw the doctor who ran blood tests and told me everything looked normal except for my progesterone which was a bit high. I also never had any of the previous PMS symptoms I used to get prior to the pill.
After this I spoke to my homeopath about it ( I had been seeing her for my allergies and asthma) and she gave me a remedy to take. I took this on 10th Feb and ovulated later that day and started my period on 13th Feb.
Since this I have had nothing and I am now on CD54. It has been 13 days since my husband and I last 'tried' but apart from headaches I have had no symptoms or signs of my period coming nor of feeling pregnant. I have taken a couple of HPT and they have been negative. I don't really know when the right time to take them is as my periods have not been regular but this has been the longest I have gone without some sort of bleeding since being off the pill.

TTC After Birth Control
Anyone else having weird symptoms before AF?
Anyone else get weird PMS symptoms after birth control? I know it's totally normal to have cramps, headache, fatigue all that stuff, but nausea? I feel like I'm a teenager again with this past week. Last month was weird too, I spotted for 5 days before and actual heavy flow period of another 5 days. This month, thankfully no spotting, but every morning this week I have not felt good at all. I actually took a nap this week which I avoid because it throws off my bedtime. Don't get me wrong, the tiredness wouldn't be that strange. I'm pretty much always tired. I have twin boys and even though they sleep great all the teething and fighting over toys wears a momma down. The hubs and I are sort of trying for number 3, but it's more like just not preventing. I'm keeping track and we MIGHT have BD at the right time, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I'm pretty sure I O'd that day so it may have been just a little too late, but we had done it 4 days before. Still thinking too much of a gap. Mainly what my question is what are your symptoms now that you're TTC and you're coming off of BC? And is anyone else coming off of the nuva ring? This is month two for me. I was only on it for 3 good months. The previous months I was trying to find what would work for me when my DH and I decided we would just leave things up to God as we don't want a repeat of our first time trying when we are ready to have more like NOW. First go after depo was 2 years. So if and when we start ACTIVELY trying I don't want to wait 2 more years if I can help it. That's why no BC. So enough blabbing, who else thinks they're a teenager again? lol

TTC After Birth Control
TTC after BC
I stopped taking the pill in June and I didnt get a period until Sept. It was then 45 days until I received my next period in Oct and 33 days to the next one in Nov. I have not had a period since Nov 30th. My Dr. says that it's normal to take 6-12 mo to regulate after coming off the pill, but I don't know what to think about this. It looked like it was back to normal and now its all messed up again. We are TTC and this is very frustrating. I don't know what i should do. Any advice.
