Embarrasing Menstrual Situation

Well it was my grade 7 yr, we were having an assembly at school. I wasn't feeling well and asked to go to the bathroom before the assembly and was told 'no'. I was wearing white pants and a red sweater. I didn't know that i was getting an award. My bf and I were called to the front, while we were wlking up she took my hand knowing how nervous i was. people started laughing! We got our awards and went to sit down, The teachers and princepal were laughing!
after the assembly i went to the bathroom and to my horror my pants were red! my teacher gave me a panty liner to 'help me through the day'. i decided to go home sick. mom sent the Salvation army minister to pick me up (he was a family friend). he showed up and it was announced that a 'cop' was there to pick me up.
the next day my classmates asked me how it was 'flowing'.
i was soooo embarrassed

My most embarrassing experience was just a few months ago. We have been TTC, and hit all the right days, AF was LATE again! I was waiting for my test date... Sunday morning came, and My almost 2 year old little girl and I were making breakfast. I sneezed and GUSH... suddenly the oak floor is red and my little one is running to the bathroom to get the first aid kit because clearly "Mama has a BIIIIG boo boo" I so wish she were old enough to comprehend what had happened because it would have spared me what happened next...

"Daddy- mommy makin brefast and got a boo boo"
"uh oh- did mommy cut her hand making bagels again"
"No... she hurt her hiney"
he didnt have to say anything else THANK GOD because his brain linked 2 & 2 and figured it out...

Fast forward to dinner at the inlaws house where my lovely child proudly exclaims that she helped mommy with her "butt boo boo"

I was DYEING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Embarrasing is an understatement. I have always experienced heavy cycles. I too had an experience at work. Fortunately no one saw me, because I think favor was on my side. But I was 2 days into my cycle and I thought I had everything under control as I dressed myself for work and prepared for a day that I would not forget ever. I was probably sitting at my computer for about 30 minutes and had to get up and go to the kitchen where the printer/copier is located. Its also the place where everyone gather (mostly male office) to drink coffee and discuss company politics and gossip. (busy area).

I dressed in a really cute red and white flowered skirt specifically for my husband who was coming in from overseas and I had not seen in 3 months. (timing was all but wrong that day).

I walked into the copier room to gather some items off the printer and fax some documents. And there it was...the big gush...The clot was so huge...I looked on the floor and there were splash marks and puddles. The only thing i could think of was to grab my skirt really quick and let the blood soak through my skirt to keep from more from draining. My heart fell to the floor as i grabbed a pile of paper towels and fell to the floor to clean as best and clean as i could before any someone came in. I also had time to take more paper towels and wet them quickly to clean again. I grabbed a trash bag to place the unclean paper in it. Just as i finished hiding my disaster, two males walked in and started talking to me and i know they thought something was wrong with me when i didnt respond to them as my normal usual self. I left work quickly, went home and washed and dried my skirt and went to meet my husband at the airport. I had to call someone and tell them what happened, so i called my sister.

I was doing some filing at the law office where I worked as a paralegal. I didn't expect my period to come so I wore a light colored skirt, my usual skimpy thong, and tan suede shoes, no hose. It was lunchtime and all of the other girls were out of the office. The only ones in the offic were myself and a few of the (male) lawyers.

The file cabinets are right across from the door to my boss' office. I was squatting down to put some files in the bottom drawyer and to reorganize the drawyer. After squatting for about ten minutes I stood up and felt a gush. My period had started! On my skirt, my leg, my tan suede shoes and on the white tile floor. I ran to my office to grab a tampon and then to the ladies room to clean up and get towels to wipe up the floor. When I came back, my boss was standing at the door of his office looking at the floor. I could have died! I apologized, quickly cleaned up the floor, and took the rest of the afternoon off.

it was a really hot and humid day. I just flew a couple of days before from an intercontinental flight. I went to an Adventure park where I walked all day long under the sun. All of a sudden without PMS signs my period arrived and I was covered in blood. I was wearing shorts, somebody gave me his towel to cover myself while I ran to the bathroom....when I arrived to the restroom there was of course a long line and I had to ask permission to jump in the front, I had blood coming down my legs.

Mine happened the summer before my final year of high school. My friends and I decided to have a summer's end pool party because school was starting (this was the desert, so September was still pretty hot.) Imagine my dismay to learn I'd started my period the day before. One of my friends suggested I try a tampon so I could go swimming. I was saved!!!

So I made my way out to the pool area, sporting my slinky black bathing suit and a pair of denim cut off shorts. They had a lot of fray around the legs. They were my favorite shorts. After this day, I threw them away.

I'm not normally one to be embarassed about having my period, but it's not something that I'd have shared with my male friends in high school. We were all sitting on lounge chairs, and the guy I liked was sitting at the foot of mine, with his hands resting on my thighs. I had one leg crooked and the other straigh out. He was playing with the fray on my shorts when all of the sudden, he pulled on a couple of strings. The first few times he did this, it didn't phaze me, but then I felt it...he was tugging on my tampon string. The next thing I know, the guy I had a HUGE crush on is sitting in front of me, face like a ghost, holding up MY bloodsoaked tampon for ALL to see!!

Needless to say, that was the last time he talked to me.
