When Did You Decide Baby Names?
At what point did you select the name that you actually gave your baby? Before you were pregnant, during pregnancy, after delivery?

My baby name is Jahyla and she is a beautiful 3 week year old. I had that name in my head for the longest and, Im surprised I remebered it. I had this name stored in my memory for years and told myself if i ever have a girl she will be named jahyla its such a pretty name for my pretty girl.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?
Charlie 'the strong man'
We decided the name for our little boy the day of my 20 week scan when we found out the sex. We named him Charlie. For some reason it was a name that we could not get out of our head!!! When Charlie was born, it was like he recognised his name straight away because while he was in my tummy we spoke to him using his name instead of just called him the baby. Charlie means 'the strong man' and from the second he was born he could hold his own head up as if he was 6 months.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?
Alyssa Jade
My boyfriend (now fiance') and I could only agree on two names Alyssa Jade for a girl and Tristan (no middle name picked) for a boy. We talked about it during my third month and decided to go with those names and we'd figure out a middle name for Tristan during the pregnancy. On my 5 month check-up they couldn't tell the sex. He thought I was carrying a boy, and I thought I was carrying a girl. A week and a half later I went into preterm labor and miscarried. We found out then I had been carrying a little girl, who we gave the name Alyssa Jade. Some people give us grief because it was the only name we could agree on, and we should have "saved" it for another child. Sorry, our daughter deserves a name, and even though she isn't physically with us, she's still with us now.
I'm currently pregnant now, but not getting my hopes up because I'm on the HIGH risk category now. If it's a little girl, we're going to have to try to find another girls name to agree on. But not for one second do I regret calling our daughter after the ONLY girl name we could agree on.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?
The fun of choosing names...
Being hispanic; all hispanic names are plain to me. I always had a thing for Italian names, So I named my daughter Giania Izabela. My mother liked it until I told her how I was spelling it,lol. OH to be consevative, lol. Gianias' twin brother was alittle more different, WE found out at 28 weeks that one twin might not make it, due to an Omphalacele (liver and intestines outside of the body in a thin stomache lining) So we turned to the bible. I chose David, He was strong and determined. So long story short, at the end we had twins (1 boy 1 girl) Giania Izabela and Christian David. The angel guided the surviver.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?
After months of fighting...
During my pregnancy my husband and I would each make a list of names to later compare together. We did this several times and everytime we would oppose to what the other's list said. Luckly one day, around my sixth month, we decided to look in the bible together and came upon the name CALEB. We both agreed on it because it was a short sweet name, and the best part was that it was't a common name. This only later find out this was one of the most popular names in 2005.
