So Long Period Stains
Who hasn't had a period stain or two along the way? From undies to fav jeans, period stains can be a royal pain. But happily they're often non-fatal and can be mostly/completley removed.
What period stain removal strategies have you tried and what works best for you?

Treatment for stains...
Treat the stain immediately, if you can. At least let it soak.. Oxy Clean seems to be your best friend around that time of the month. lol

So Long Period Stains
Peroxide & COLD WATER
PEROXIDE !! Works every time. The sooner..the better of course. I pour peroxide on stain(don't wet w/ water yet), let it sit for a few, if I got the stain soon after it happened, it's usually gone(if not repeat, rub in peroxide, pour more, let sit until peroxide stops bubbling, then wash out with COLD water). I've found this method to work on older stains also. ;)

Oxi + Zout
As soon as I can, I pre-treat with Oxi-clean, and soak in Zout soloution over night. Rinse throughly before washing. If stain is still visible before washing, spray with zout once more before putting into the wash.

The power of oxygen removes blood stains.
1) Rinse thoroughly in cold water.
2)Wring out excess water and pour enough hydrogen peroxide on clothing to saturate the stain.
3) Watch the peroxide bubble and loose the stain!
4) Rinse and repeat steps 2 and 3, if desired.
5) Wash item with a laundry soap like ERA Plus (a soap that fights protein-based stains). Rub a bit of the soap directly on to the stain just prior to washing. Wash using cold water. If the stain has been removed, dry as usual. If not, I would then soak the garment in a oxygen type stain solution like OxyPlus. There are many similar products. Follow instructions on the container and wash in cold water after the soaking.
