My first period

I was 12 when I first started and it was at my Grandma's house. I was visiting her for the summer. I remember the night before the flow came I had some spotting and so very excited about it, I put on a pad because thats what my mother told me do when I think I might start. She said she had this feeling I was going to start that summer and bought be protection ahead of time. ( thanks mom!). Then I woke up the next morning and there was nothing on the pad, I was very disappointed. I then went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was blood all over the toilet paper.It freaked me out at first because I wasnt expecting it to happen like that. I got super excited and ran out of the bathroom and told my Aunt Daisy who was there at the time and my Grandma, who were both happy for me, and told me it only gets worse from there. (When I first started, I didnt have any pms symptoms, no cramps no irritability, nothing.)I know what they were talking about now. My mom was excited for me too and feeling good about herself for being right on when I was supposed to start. She is a good mom.
