First Period Experience
Where were you when your first period started? How old were you? Did you talk to your mom, friends? What was your initial reaction? Retrospectively, could it have been different or more positive experience, and, if so, how?

i started a few weeks before my 10th b-day

i was about 9 1/2 close to turning 10. i actually started a few weeks before my 10th b-day. a few weeks before that my mother decided to have a mother daughter talk and told me all about it. i was at home when i started i went to the bathroom and noticed a little blood in my panties so i called for my teenage cousin instead of my mom. she told my mom that i had started and my mom went out and got pads for me. i didnt think it was a big deal and it only lasted 5 days and i never had cramps or anything with it then. if it wasnt for my mother having the talk with me i think i would have freaked out but i didnt really have a reaction to it.
