Dealing wth Premenstrual Syndrome
My PMS and How I Deal With It
During my "Time of the Month", I can get the worse PMS. Usually in the morning during my period, I am happy, up beat, and perky. But as the day goes on, I can snap into this other person who blows up and everything and everyone about the smallest reason. I've never had a severe case of acne until I'm on the rag. I mostly get them around my forehead around my hair line. I am always either hungry or thirsty, one or the other, and I am bloated to the point where I can't fin into my jeans and I'm always in sweat pants with a draw string. I keep to myself more when I get my period and I ignore almost everything.
With me being a young single mother of an almost 2 year old, my PMS sometimes gets the best of me and things that wouldn't bother me before that she would do, would bother me, or I'd get to a point where I would ignore everything she does until she does something wrong and I blow up. Living with my mother during this time is hell. She knows how to set me off and I find myself staying in my room just so I can avoid running into her. I get insomnia and fatigue at the same time which isn't good, I'm overly disorientated.
To help me deal with PMS, I try to stay to myself and not deal with people, I try to get some sleep when I can't, taking Midol sometimes works, although not always unfortunately not all the time. I take some time to myself and go for a walk and listen to music at the park and take my daughter with me so she can play. There's not too much I could do outside of this to just handle PMS. I've had it worse since after I had my daughter two years ago. But I deal with it or I try to at least.

Dealing wth Premenstrual Syndrome
PMS symptoms
I get some bad PMS symptoms.
First off I always have gotten bad hip pains, I guess cramps but it's more like I just want to rip off my hip that's how bad the pains get. I have to put pressure on my hip and I fill like hitting it. I have to take vicodin just so the pain can go away and knock me out. When my hip hurts I can?t sleep, I'm uncomfortable in bed and will toss and turn and that's when I take a vicodin and go to sleep. I even have to walk around @ work because my hip is just killing me and I can't stay in one position to long.
Also, I've been getting really bad mood swings and I've never have been this bad in the mood swings department. I get really emotional with my BF and just start flipping out on him and than start crying. It's so weird. I just ask him to be patient with me and it will pass.
One more, I tend to eat like crazy now. I want chocolate around the time I'm about to start. I never even like chocolate to begin with and now I just crave it.

Severe Mood Swings!!
I have severe mood swings, anything will set me off. my poor husband,he just waits for it to subside. I haven't found anything that will take that away just yet but a friend of mine told me to try drinking soy milk a wekk leading up to my PMS symptoms. She says the estrogen in it will help alleviate the irritability. It helped her. I've yet to try it.

Give me my drugs please
My PMS is pretty decent. I really only get cramps. I've found that popping a few Pamprin right away makes the pain go away in about 20-40 minutes. Pamprin also works wonders for everyday headaches, muscle pain, and hangovers.
The bottle is small enough that it fits in my evening purse as well as my tote. And best of all, the hubby never want to borrow the medicine!

Eliminated Coffee
I can't believe the difference!
Years ago I never used to have any PMS problems whatsoever. During the last couple of years I've been suffering increasingly from severe breast tenderness, starting up to 10 days before my expected period. I stopped drinking coffee a few months ago (I drank quite a bit). Ever since I stopped consuming so much caffeine, the pain has completely disappeared! I only get sugar cravings now, but that's not so bad.
