Hot Water Bottle!
As hot as I can stand it - Hot Water Bottle! relaxes my abdominal muscles and makes the menstrual cramps less intense.

Menstrual Cramp Solutions
No drugs required. :)
It sounds stupid, but I stretch. It works better than anything I might take. I sit on the floor with the soles of my feet together and stretch all the way forward, then twist to each side. I do ballet barre stretches at the kitchen sink, and backbend as much as I can. It loosens up the tight lumbar I always get and my uterus gets calmer. I don't have to worry about the effects of anything I'm taking, and I stay flexible.

My Cramp solutions
Evening primrose oil is definitely the one for my period symptoms and cramps (it's also good for any hormonal disbalances in general). It happens that I'm taking calcium supplements at the moment, so I hope this works for me too. I've also noticed that whilst I was on the pill I hardly had any cramps, I found this amazing as I've always suffered a lot from these. However, I'm not really advocating to start taking the pill just to avoid menstrual cramps and I am definitely in favour of natural alternatives!

Ginger
I like to boil some fresh ginger and use it as a hot compress, Works like a charm every time and the smell of ginger is very relaxing as it works to draw out and cramps.

Menstrual Cramp Solutions
My solution for cramps.
My cramps get really bad sometimes.I take Tylenol Arthritis and use a heating pad.It really does work. I used to use Aleve, but it does not help anymore. If anyone has not had relief from over the counter drugs, Talk with you doctor about a fairly new drug called Ponstel. It is used specifically for mild to severe menstrual cramps. I have used this twice. It can be expensive, depending on Insuance coverage.
